I Had a Dream

I am 52 years old and I became a born again Christian in 1986 at the age of 26 while living in Germany. In 1990, with the help of other Christian brothers, I had the privilege of meeting and evangelizing to around two thousand Sri Lankan Tamil people in Germany. From 1996 to 2010, I distributed the Christian evangelical booklets, “From Minus to Plus” and the “Book of Hope” to nearly 200,000 homes: first, in Germany and later in the UK where I now live with my family. My native country is Sri Lanka and I am currently a member of Bethel Church in Oldbury, West Midlands.
Presently, I often spend time meeting people in the street preaching the good news of Christ. And in the early morning hours of March 13, 2013, while sleeping, I had a troubling dream.
“In my dream I saw the sun slowly changing its shape and its brightness became dim like a full moon. In the center of the sun I saw the number “21” which was very thin. The number began increasing by one to 22, 23, and finally to 24. Next, the sky turned dark and ominous like that of an impending storm. Then I saw visions of fallen lampposts, torn down high voltage lines, and numerous large sheets of metal and debris scattered along streets that looked like the remains of roofs from houses and buildings destroyed by a tornado. Initially, the numbers 21 through 24 were increasing just like a digital clock. But, after the vision of the fallen lampposts, torn down high voltage wires, and numerous roofing materials scattered along the street, the sun began to be filled with a huge number 28. It was so vividly clear and it expanded until it completely filled the sun. When this happened I heard with unusual clarity distinct voices similar to what you hear wearing stereo headphones, which I had never before heard in a dream, proclaiming boldly, “JESUS IS COMING, JESUS IS COMING, JESUS IS COMING!” These voices were very unique and I heard them as soon as the number 28 began filling up the sun. The voices came from both my left and my right. It was like three or four people all lined-up in a row and their proclamation came one after the other in perfect unison.”
Then I awoke suddenly from my sleep troubled greatly, for I never have dreams like these. I studied God’s Word that morning looking for answers in Mark 13:21-37. Over the months that followed I came to realize that the numbers were referring to actual years. Later, I came to understand that the number 28 signified the year 2028 and that this was the year
Christ would return in. I then prayed,
“Lord Jesus, kindly show me at least three other highly respected Christians living a
spiritual life in right standing with you who have a deeper understanding of your Word than I do and who have similar revelations about the year of the second coming of Christ. Lord Jesus, if I find such people with similar revelations then I will have a confirmation in my heart that this dream of mine is from you Lord.”
In my usual prayers I have never asked the Lord about anything pertaining to the return of Christ or the rapture. My usual prayers to the Lord are for guidance in which evangelical tracts or booklets to distribute and in which areas or towns to pass them out in to win the most souls for God’s kingdom.
Six months after my dream while sitting at my computer, I had the compulsion to search for ‘Jesus is coming in 2028’ on the Internet. As I searched the web, surprisingly I found several servants of God proclaiming the second coming of Christ would be in the year 2028. As I continued to read what they had written, I was shocked to learn they all mentioned the years 2021 and 2028 because my dream began with the number 21 and ended with the number 28.
After one year from my dream, on March 7, 2014, I began contacting these other servants of Christ who also believed the master would return in 2028 searching for greater understanding to my dream. Here is one of their interpretations of my dream:
“In the ninth chapter of the book of Daniel, God makes a prophecy pertaining to important things about the future.1 From this prophecy, known as the Seventy ‘Weeks,’ many dates for key milestones on God’s plan for mankind can be determined including the return time of Christ. A plan the Lord made at the very beginning that encompasses everything from the beginning to the end.2 As such, Karunakaran, your dream is in full agreement with what Daniel was told and with what has been told to other prophets of God in the Bible about the last days.3 Here is the interpretation.
The first number, 21, signifies the year 2021. This year is the start of the final ‘week’ spoken of in the book of Daniel.4 Consequently, the last number 28 signifies the year 2028 and it represents end of the seventieth ‘week,’ which is the end of a seven-year period. At the end of this seven-year period, Christ will return, just as you were clearly told in your dream. This time can be shown to be the true time by those who are wise and understand what Daniel was told in this important prophecy and will be explained shortly.
Furthermore, the other numbers signify years just as these two numbers did. As such, the numbers 22, 23, and 24 mean the years 2022 through 2024. At the completion of the year 2024, the vision of the fallen lampposts, high voltage wires, and roofing debris scattered along the streets mean that the years between 2024 and the end of 2028 (years 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028) will be filled with war and disasters that will not only impact the ability to transmit electricity5 in this modern day and age, but will cause death and destruction to many people and places around the world.6 For the last half of this seven-year period, (mid February 2025 to late September 2028) is the time of God’s wrath when the antichrist’s army invades Israel,7 when other foreign armies gather in Israel to fight against his army,8 and when much destruction will occur in various places in the world.9 This is why you saw the sky turn dark and ominous, for at the completion of the year 2024, God’s wrath will be unleashed on the world from that time forward until the time His son returns.10
And lastly, you were shown the years 2021 through 2024 to make you understand, that the last week of Daniel begins in 2021 when the antichrist confirms a covenant with many.11 But, though these years will be bad as many believers will fall12 and move along under the leadership of the antichrist, it is not until after these years have passed, when the abomination of desolation is set-up13 at the mid-point of this seven year period,14 that God’s wrath will be metered out to the world.15 This concludes the interpretation.
Having provided this interpretation, it is clear many Christians may find this hard to believe. I assure you no matter how hard it is to believe, it is true and the final details of what is to come are far more ominous than people will ever know by reading just a few paragraphs. Realize that once people believe in the dates of the last seven years prior to Christ’s return, those who are wise and know all that is prophesied in the Bible about the end time will be able to piece together all the events that will occur during this period.
As for the dates, to know they are true and that your dream was from God, one needs to really understand what Daniel was told and what St. John was told in the book of Revelation years later. In Daniel chapter nine,16 Daniel is praying to the Lord for the sins of his people Israel,17 and while he is praying Gabriel the archangel is sent to him to relay additional details about a vision Daniel received years earlier.18 That ultimately the message Gabriel brings pertains to the timing of key events on God’s plan. The first thing Daniel is told is there will be seventy ‘weeks’ before everything will be made anew: to end sin, finish transgressions, seal-up prophecy, bring in everlasting righteousness, etc.19 What this really means is that there will be seventy ‘Jubilee years’ from a decree20 that was issued by the Persian King Artaxerxes I in the year 458 B.C. to rebuild Jerusalem21 to the time when all things will be made anew, as described in the book of Revelation.22
If you count seventy Jubilee years into the future from the first Jubilee, after this decree, in the year 423 B.C.,23 you get to the Jubilee year 3028 A.D.24 Since Christ will rule on the earth for one thousand years25 prior to God making everything anew after the final judgment,26 we need only subtract these one thousand years (twenty Jubilees)27 to find the start of the Millennial Kingdom. This will be in the fiftieth Jubilee after the decree given to Ezra in the year 2028 A.D.28 And since the ‘kingdom of rock’29 that will last a thousand years starts when Christ returns, so also will Christ return in 2028 just as God showed you in your dream.”

Why am I telling you all this? 30 If the above interpretation of the year of the second coming is true, then it will enable leaders in ministries to prepare the believers so they can work out changes and priorities in their Christian lives to pave the way for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. This means that we are going to need to live a very meaningful Christian life in the time remaining knowing that we don’t have much time left before the end comes.
If the Holy Spirit gives you peace and clarity in your heart after reading my testimonial, specifically about the years mentioned, then go ahead and pray about it. Search the Word of God, and become doers of the Word of God.31 If you don’t feel peace and clarity in your heart after reading my message, please forgive me. And please understand, I too felt like you not that long ago. But, I no longer do as a result of my dream and there are others around the world like me who also now believe Christ will return in 2028.
